'Kick-Ass' trailer hits the web!
January 13, 2010 11:53

The trailer for Matthew Vaughn's highly anticipated 'Kick-Ass' has been released, with the film due to hit cinemas in April 2010. LipSync Post completed over 300 VFX shots for the film, many of which are featured in the trailer.

The work undertaken included a variety of greenscreen comps utilising 270° digital matte painting cycloramas and applying further adjustments such as sky and building replacements, animated traffic at street level, day for night relighting and grading in comp to marry the live action interior with the rendered exterior. All greenscreen driving sequences were also completed by LipSync.

And for the action packed finale, the VFX team added innumerable blood spurts, wounds, CG weaponry and muzzle flashes to enhance the comic book violence.

The latest trailer and teasers can be viewed at: www.kickass-themovie.com.
