After graduating from The University of Brighton with an MA in Sequential Design in 2002, Tom Collier worked briefly at stop-frame animation company Famous Flying Films in London. His continual badgering of the in-house compositors finally resulted in him working on a few simple shots. Discovering a passion for compositing, Tom joined Seemless FX then later Stargate Digital at Pinewood Studios. Quickly promoted to Lead Compositor he worked on White Noise, The Seed of Chucky and A Bear Named Winnie.
Following stints at Men From Mars and as the Lead Compositor on various “in-house” teams, Tom joined LipSync in Sept 2006 where he quickly developed into an integral part of the team, leading compositing work on sequences for Stardust, Hot Fuzz and 28 Weeks Later and supervising visual effects on projects such as The Secret of Moonacre, Crimson Wing and The Broken.
