LipSync’s sound team were among the winners on the night at the 2016 Bafta Craft Awards, picking up the Fiction Sound award for Wolf Hall, based on the best selling Hilary Mantel novel. Wolf Hall also picked up the Editing gong in the fiction category.

Peter Kosminsky, director of Wolf Hall, said: “I’m so thrilled for Simon Clark, Rob Hughes, James Hayday, Pete Gates, Rod Berling and all the team who worked on the Wolf Hall soundtrack. Of course, the sound work on WH wasn’t flashy – no battle scenes, no interstellar travel – but if you listen carefully, you can hear the extraordinary level of work involved. Simon’s recordings on set were superb, requiring little or no ADR at all. And the track lay and mix – under the fantastic auspices of the fantastic sound department at Lipsync – was one of the best I’ve ever been privileged to witness. I’m so glad this level of work has been recognised by their peers.”
